Gothic, But Make It Fashion
Happy Tuesday everyone, I hope that you are doing well and living your best life in your best outfit. I'm so glad that I can be back here with you guys and talk about my favorite F word, Fashion.
I've recently had been looking into the Gothic style. When I was in high school, the gothic style was a lot different than what I saw in the hallway during "those lovely 6 hours". Pants with carabiners, tons of pierces such as lip and gauges, heavy metal band t-shirts, shirts that had mesh, platform shoes, spiky hair, and lots of Black. I was reading about this trend in the December issue of Elle Magazine and I learned that Gothic was all of the runways but in a more grown-up and stylish way.
The whole Gothic style has a moment in time and changed throughout the decades, an offshoot of punk back in the late 1970s and into the early 1980s. From safety pins to the neon mohair sweaters and a little bit of the 18th and 19th centuries that introduced us to the lace, corsets, and the Victorian mourning attire and the black tights that we all love today. I know what many of you guys are thinking, why on earth would anyone dress like this, well the answer is pretty simple, it just something that we all tend to dig up from time to time and for some people, it's their lifestyle and their own sense of style. Everybody is entitled to their own sense of style and that's why I love Fashion so much, it's the greatest freedom of expression ever created.
The Whole Louis Vuitton Resort 2020 Collection had this whole '80s gothic/Matrix vibes to it and I must say that I loved it and I believed that Nicolas Ghesquiere took inspiration from both of these.
This dress from the Moschino Resort 2020 Collection is serving me very Gothic prom queen realness.
I love the mixture of the Gothic elements and the feminine side in the Prada Fall/Winter 2019 Ready-To-Wear Collection.
I really love that Chloe went away from their beautiful, feminine dresses to the Goth side for their Resort 2020 Collection.
The Chanel Cruise 2020 Collection was one gorgeous romantic gothic masterpiece, including this piece.
Gucci Resort 2020 Collection was serving a very gothic Vampire tease.
I can't believe that I didn't see this that the Giorgio Armani Resort 2020 Collection went Gothic as well.
Just like I said earlier, Fashion is the greatest freedom of speech that we have and we all have a story to tell with our clothing, our hairstyles, jewelry, and many other things. I'm glad that I can spend some time with all of you telling about the Gothic trend that going to be on the runways for 2020, I love you all so much and I hope that you enjoyed this Blog Post and until next time, Stay Beautiful.
