Coming Up Daisies

Image
Hello again my fellow fashion lovers, I so grateful and blessed to be here with you all talking about the thing that makes me happy more than anything in the world, Fashion. I hope that all of you had a great day stayed as safe as possible. If there's anything that reminds me of the '90s, it's daisies. Daisies are just so feminine, playful and so classic at the same time. When I was growing up, I would get the Delia*s catalog in the mail (SO sad that they are not in the business of fashion anymore and not making catalogs to.) and their little symbol was a daisy. One day as I was enjoying a snack after I got done with a long class I was reading an issue Marie Claire Magazine and I saw a pair of Dolce And Gabbana that had daisies all of them from their Fall/Winter 2015 Ready-To-Wear Collection. Now for Spring/Summer 2020, Daisies are here and definitely a fashion statement if you want to be noticed.  Stella McCartney Spring/Summer 2020 Ready-To-Wear Collection was in one word

And It Was All Yellow, Fashion That Is.

Happy Sunday fashion lovers, I pray that all of you had a blessed day and stay safe out there and spread love and positivity out in the world. For many of you guys know, I absolutely LOVE the color Yellow. Growing up as a child my mother put me in those overly frilly dresses (fellow '90s kids stand up please.) and my love with the color Yellow began. Yellow is cheerful, sunny, and attracts attention. Active people who feel open and young, like to wear yellow. Those who want to get rid of solitude should wear yellow. It is suitable for yellow fashion accessories for a job interview because it helps us with clear expression. Not only that, but it also encourages rational thinking, improves memory, gives strength, and reinforces self-confidence. When a person is prone to criticism, it should avoid yellow. It may cause irritation, weakness, and encourages egoism.   The first dress that I'm going to share with you is from an Australian fashion brand called Hello Molly. One day I was

Hello again and Happy Thursday to you all of my fellow beauty lovers, I hope that you are doing well during this crazy time that we all are witnessing right now. I feel that we are going to see better days soon what can I say, I'm totally an optimistic person, well I try to be.  I believe that this is the first time that I've talked about two skincare brands that I wanted in my skincare cabinet before. As I have gotten older, I have really been into skincare. Being in my early thirties, I just feel that investing in your skincare and what you use to cleanse your skin is the ultimate act of self-care and your skin will Thank You. I was really lucky to not have major skin problems such as acne as a teenager but some of my girlfriends really went through it.and it was not fun to see my friends not feeling confident in their skin.  I was first introduced to Foreo when I was watching their Nighttime routine and I wanted to know more about this brand. The Luna skincare devices have t

Happy Tuesday everyone, I hope that you all had a great day and are staying safe out there. I pray that any of my blog posts bring you joy and a little distraction to what going on in the world right this second. I was reading an old magazine that I had and I saw something that really made me think of my childhood, An Oversized jean jacket. It reminds so much of the '90s grunge and hip-hop videos that I watched all the time. I feel that the '90s (besides the '50s, '60s, and '70s ) are my favorite periods of fashion to study. Looking back on trends from this time period has influenced me so much. One reason that I love this trend is that you can pair this with jeans and combat boots, a floral dress, or a longer maxi dress, another reason why I love this trend is that it is seasonless.  I learned that trends such as the oversized jean jacket are just that one trend that is had a  laidback feel and let's be honest, who doesn't want that in their fashion these d

Of Course We Love Cortnie

I want to wish a Happy Sunday to all of my fellow fashion lovers out there.  During this time, I hope that you are staying safe, and helping out as many people as you can. I feel that I'm the luckiest girl in the world, I get to do what I love to fashion blogging. Although I'm not getting paid to do this yet, I love reporting to y'all the latest trends and up and coming designers that y'all need to know. During this time, I learned that there are so many African American fashion designers that don't really the attention that they deserve. As a black fashion blogger myself, I feel this is my duty to show y'all some dope fashion designers and maybe you will love them as much as I do.  As many of you lovely people know, I have a love (Okay, An obsession) with handbags. It all started when I saw the Classic Quilted Chanel Bag and as they all say, The rest is history. The brand that I'm mentioning today in this blog post is Love, Cortnie. A black-owned handbag co

Black Woman Beauty Brand That You Need To Know About: Beauty Bakerie

Happy Thursday my fellow beauty lovers, I hope that you doing well and trying your absolute best to stay safe and loving one another in the world that we live in at the moment.  One thing that I love about being a beauty blogger is finding beauty brands to tell y'all about every Thursday. I feel as a beauty blogger, it's my duty to promote smaller makeup brands that don't get the recognization that they deserve, including black-owned makeup companies. I've always felt that God gave me this platform to tell you about these companies for you to try them out for yourselves and maybe you can tell your friends and family about it.  I've first came to know about Beauty Bakerie when I saw a black Youtuber talking about this brand as she was doing a Get Ready With Me Video, so I decided to check out this brand for myself and when I tell you that I loved the creator's story, I knew that I had to support. Cashmere Nicole knew that she wanted to start her own business when

Fisherman Can Be Fashionable Too

Hello Fashion lovers, I hope that all of you are doing well and staying safe in the world that we all live in right now. We need to love one another and embrace our differences now more than ever. I love all of you that read my blog posts from all over the world and I appreciate all of your support.  One day as I was reading the June issue of Instyle, I noticed that Fisherman Sandals were going to be a trend for Spring/Summer 2020. Now I know for a lot of people that the image of a fisherman itself isn't fashionable at all, but I really think that this trend is really chic and comfortable. I have said this before in many of my blog posts, as I get older, I want my Spring/Summer shoes to not only be fashionable but comfortable as well. (I want people to be around me because I wore the right shoes). I'm now shifting towards comfortable, classic, effortless, things that I know that I can wear over and over again and I feel that I could wear these fisherman sandals all throughout t

Do The White Thing

Hello, my fashion lovers. I hope that you are doing well and trying to stay safe and spreading positivity everywhere you go.  We all know that Spring is in full swing and Summer is right around the corner, there is nothing chicer than wearing white. I love wearing white during the Spring and Summer because it just looks so feminine, fresh, and always on-trend. Now when I first starting to wearing white, I felt that I was a walking advertisement to throw stuff on, and until this day, I'm even cautious when I wear white. (I'm really the most accident-prone person ever in life.)  This blog post was inspired by a magazine article that I was reading and I saw a woman wearing a white dress carrying a wooden bag and looking very chic. I get inspired for my own Spring/Summer fashion choices by reading fashion magazines and blogs and I feel inspired to wear a white dress throughout the Summer and maybe into Fall as well. I saw this dress on Fashion Nova and I love the firm fit of this d

On My Beauty Cabinet Wishlist: DHC Skincare

I feel so grateful to be here with you again. Happy Thursday my fellow beauty lovers, I hope that you all are doing well in the world that we live in right now.  I've struggled with finding the right products that would not upset my skin. Before turning 30, I tried to have a skincare routine that worked for me. Now that I've turned 30 I learned to have a skincare routine is essential. I have dry and sensitive skin and I have to be VERY selective of what I introduced my skincare routine or my skin will be an irritated and red mess. I wanted to try this brand out for the longest time ever since I was in high school.  My aunt received the DHC Skincare catalogs in the mail and I was intrigued about this brand. So the next day as I was in Computer Skills class, I researched this brand and I was impressed with the company and what they stand for. Their philosophy is that they wholeheartedly embrace the Japanese concept of wabi-sabi that teaches there is beauty in imperfection. Accord
