On My Beauty Wishlist: Mini Luxe And Emilie Heathe

Image
Hello beauty lovers, I hope that all of you are doing well and are having the best day possible (I mean it's Wednesday after all.)  The two beauty brands that I wanted to talk about in this blog are Mini Luxe and Emilie Heathe,  MiniLuxe was founded with a vision to radically change the nail care industry through a brand committed to the highest quality self-care services, safer and more sustainable products, and cleaner studio environments and practices. Their platform was built with the intention to create greater opportunities for one of the largest workforces of women and immigrants. From the beginning, their focus has been on doing what is best, not what is standard. Their services and products at MiniLuxe exist to reveal and amplify your true self, not conceal or hide, and never harm. Their technologies, skill-building programs, and standards are empowering a new generation of artists, creators, and entrepreneurs to live their fullest story. These team members are united by

Give Me Swimwear, But Make It Inclusive: AAPI Edition

Happy Wednesday fashion friends, I hope that all of you are having the best hump day ever and I wanted to give you guys a noontime pick-me-up. Being a plus-size woman, I've struggled with finding a bathing suit that not only looks good on my body type but didn't give off the look of me wearing my underwear at the beach. Today's blog is about two swimwear brands that are designed by AAPI women that not only give us great quality but does it sustainability  The first brand that I want to talk about is Dipping Daisys, they are one of the fastest-growing sustainable swimwear brands on the market today. Their task started with four core values: female empowerment, size inclusivity, sustainability, and affordable luxury. Since they began in 2015, they have worked to remain authentic in their pursuit of building a swimwear brand that truly makes us feel like the best version of ourselves. At its core, they want every experience to encapsulate a true lust for life in a space that

I Might Need A Bigger Closet: AAPI Edition

Happy Tuesday fashion lovers, I hope that all of you are doing well and had a great long weekend with your family and friends.  Fashion in my opinion is open to EVERYONE. May is Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month and I wanted to tell you guys about some great AAPI fashion brands that I think you will guys will love. So without further or do, let's get started. The first brand that I want to talk about is Leze The Brand, the brand was founded in 2018 by two friends Tanya and Karen after feeling inspired by her shameless tendencies to wear Superman PJs in public. They thought to themselves, "What if we could create comfy work pants for people that were recycled and looked presentable?" After years of purchasing rigid and expensive workwear, the two best decided to turn waste into sustainable fashion as a vehicle to pursue comfort every day. Another thing that I love about this brand is its values, Exercise career diversity through flexible workwear for the mode

Asian Fashion Designer That You Need To Know About: Viceta Wang

Image
Hello fashion lovers, and welcome back to my blog I'm so happy to be here with all of you again for the third time this week, I hope that you don't mind.  There is a new Asian Designer that I think you will love, I came across the designer Viceta Wang's runway show for her Spring/Summer 2023 Ready-To-Wear Collection and adored some of the pieces from the collection. Her philosophy behind her brand is to bring inspiration and freedom to the modern woman. The boutique offers them the unique opportunity to co-create a bespoke design made personally for them. To Viceta, fashion is a tool used to express one’s individuality. She wishes for others to experience the same passion she has when designing her own dresses and to ignite a meaningful connection with handmade tailored garments. She wants to foster the feeling of owning something completely bespoke, something exclusively made for her clients with the perfect fit made with her client’s own measurements.  Her aspiration is

On My Beauty Wishlist: Versace Dylan Purple

Happy Thursday/Friday eve to all of my fellow beauty lovers, I hope that all of you are ready to enjoy the "official" kickoff to Summer and the long weekend ahead.  I know that I have said before that Versace is not my fashion cup of tea, but their past couple of collections has made me fall in love with the brand, including the perfumes. I was reading a few fashion magazines and I saw the Versace Dylan Purple perfume and as I smelled the sample, I fell in absolute love with it.  Versace Dylan Purple is a bright and elegant fragrance. A sparkling bergamot is blended with the joyful tones of a freshly harvested orange, while the delicate scents of freesia deliver an explosion of bright purple color. The bottle's elegant curves are reminiscent of an amphora, strongly evoking the classical culture and mythology that runs deep through the Versace imagination. The 50 ML is priced at $96.00. https://www.versace.com/us/en-us/women/accessories/fragrances/dylan-purple-edp-50-ml-

Happy Wednesday fashion lovers, I hope that all of you are surviving this hump day with style and grace. I wanted to get this blog post on time, so I figured why not give you guys a bonus fashion post to help you get through this Wednesday.  If you guys didn't know, May is Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month, and so many amazing designers are part of this community, including Adeam. I remember reading an older issue of Elle Magazine and I read an article about Hanako Maeda starting Adeam and how her brand is starting to become a mainstay at NYFW and on the red carpet.  Hanako Maeda is the Founder and Creative Director of Adeam, a brand with an ‘East meets West’ aesthetic that fuses inspiration sourced from Hanako’s upbringing spent between Tokyo and New York City. Adeam is known for using traditional Japanese techniques on modern silhouettes. After studying Art History at Columbia University, Hanako moved back to Tokyo to work for her parents’ fashion house, Foxey, a lu

My Fashion Obsession: Waistcoat Suits

Hello, my loves, and a Happy Tuesday to all of you. I hope that all of you had a great weekend and are feeling refueled to conquer all the things that are on your to-do list.  I love a good suit moment, it's one outfit and I can style it up or down. While I was reading the March issue of Harper's Bazaar and I saw that Waistcoat Suits were a trend for 2023 but I saw this trend in 2022 when I saw an influencer style this trend in one of her reels. This trend I feel that everyone can wear this for a night out with friends, or maybe wear this to pick up toilet paper, or style it for your own runway walk inside their bedroom. I love the Chanel Spring/Summer 2023 Ready-To-Wear Collection, I love the pops of color and the use of textures in this collection. This waistcoat suit would be wonderful to wear to the Hamptons or to Paris.  This waistcoat Suit from the Stella McCartney Spring/Summer 2023 Ready-To-Wear Collection is also combining another trend that I've been seeing as of

Hello again my loves, I'm so glad to be here with all of you this Thursday/Friday eve. I absolutely love being time with all of you and talking about some of the things in the beauty world that really sparked my interest. Since I live in North Carolina, I'm used to the hot, muggy, sticky Summer. But when it comes to beauty in the Summer I WILL NOT wear thick foundation. I think that my skin would appreciate that I was looking out for her best interest and not putting my dry and sensitive skin through that. I've heard about Saie before and I love their approach when it comes to clean, sustainable, and conscious beauty. I saw that they had a new foundation that would be great for Summer and I wanted to let you guys know about it.  The Saie Glowy Super Skin Weightless Hydrobounce Serum Foundation is an 85% skincare serum, 15% weightless pigment, Their lightweight and luminous serum foundation provides true-to-skin, medium-buildable coverage and is packed with clinically teste

My Fashion Obsession Knit Tops

Hello again my fashion friends, I hope that all of you are doing well and had a great Mother's Day with your mothers. grandmothers, or mother figures in your life. We all know that knitted items are more geared toward the Fall and Winter, but it seems now that knitted items are always in the Spring and Summer, especially Knit Polos. This trend was brought to my attention while I was on the Vogue Runway app that have on my phone and while I was reading the May issue of Harper's Bazaar Magazine. This trend also reminds me of playing tennis in the Hamptons or at the country club. The first look comes from the Eudon Choi Spring/Summer 2023 Ready-To-Wear Collection, He's one of my Favorite underrated fashion designers of all time, and when I saw this piece I saw a trip to Italy with this look.  Another one of my favorite underrated fashion designers is Proenza Schouler, this piece is from their Pre-Fall 2023 Collection. Marine Serre is in her fashion element every single season
