Hispanic Fashion Brand That You Need To Know About: Luar

 Happy Monday my fellow fashion lovers, I hope that all of you had a great weekend. Mondays give me the blues, but talking about fashion gives me so much joy and happiness.

I've really loved talking about Hispanic fashion brands and designers during this Hispanic Heritage Month, and today, I've been wanting to tell you about one of the underrated fashion designers that I've been a fan of for a long time, Luar. Luar is the reversed namesake label of Williamsburg-based Raul Lopez, he's also the co-founder of Hood By Air.

Raul is of Dominican descent, Lopez began to design at the age of 12 and was inspired by the downtown New York scene he saw growing up. Lopez wanted to share this energy with his friends who lived in the uptown Washington Heights neighborhoods, where they would frequent Dominican clubs and parties. The philosophy of Luar lies in the intersection of New York City and the Dominican Republic, promoting the constant curiosity of ‘tomorrow’.

I loved the whole Fall/Winter 2023 Ready-To-Wear Collection, this piece from this collection is something that I can see Lady Gaga wearing to a movie premiere or a red carpet. 


This suit from the Spring/Summer 2024 Ready-To-Wear Collection is the perfect mix of masculine and feminine. I would totally wear this to an office job if I had an office job. 


I was on their website a few days ago, and I saw the Ana Bag and I fell in love with it. I love that you can carry all of the things that you may need for the day, and still look stylish. I need this bag for my fall wardrobe.

Hello again to all of my Fashion Lovers and Happy Tuesday to you all. I hope that you doing well and wearing something that makes you feel your absolute best.  Pleated Skirts are one of my favorite pieces of the Spring and Summer. It's just represents what Spring and Summer Fashion should be, Light and Airy. Another thing that I love about this trend is that this piece of Fashion is that it's seasonless.
