Fashion Designer That I'm Obsessed With: Celia Kritharioti

Well, Happy Tuesday my loves. I hope that all of you are having a great week and trying to crush all of the goals that you set for yourself.

Celia Kritharioti has really caught my eye recently, and I wanted to share all about her, Vanity Fair Magazine has named Celia Kritharioti Fashion House as one of the six couturiers in the world's worth watching due to the craftsmanship, the detailed handmade work, the vision, and her unique creations. Beautifully feminine and embellished concoctions from this couturier to the stars.

The Celia Kritharioti House of Couture is synonymous with sophisticated elegance, designing perfection, and intriguing glamour. Designer Celia Kritharioti is the innovative designer and owner of the oldest Greek fashion house, which was established in Athens in 1906. She has confidently brought the house’s glorious tradition into the 21st century.  All creations are handmade, specially designed for each client: rare technique, the apotheosis of craftsmanship, and creativity.  Having taken measurements thoroughly and after two rehearsals, the best seamstresses sew, embroider and prepare each creation from the very beginning: every creation is unique, exclusive as if it hasn’t been touched by a human hand, Celia notes. Silk lace from Paris, taffeta, tulle, precious stones, the most talented seamstresses, and the tradition of more than a century are essential to lifting off Celia’s talent.

Celia Kritharioti, whose design brilliance distinguishes her globally, is one of the most famous fashion designers in Greece. Her talent, vision, and aesthetics reflect on all her creations. Unique, graceful, and feminine, women love to wear them as the handmade procedure highlights their true beauty.  From cocktail dresses to wedding gowns, one of Celia’s biggest passions, her mission is to present the best image possible of every woman who chooses Celia Kritharioti's creation.

Her work is the ideal combination of femininity, finesse, and elegance. Combining the finest quality fabrics and materials with her vision, Celia Kritharioti manages to make every woman feel unique, alluring, and elegant while accentuating the female body. The extensive, detailed work of every single gown is recognized at first sight, especially when it comes to wedding dresses, as Celia Kritharioti is considered by the international press the empress of wedding dresses.

She was selected to design the Olympic Air uniforms, had the honor of designing the costumes for the Greek National Opera productions of Romeo and Juliet and Swanlake, has dressed the elite of powerful women and celebrities, whilst humbly accepting awards for her work and contribution to the fashion industry.

Celia Kritharioti's creations have been shown both in Greece and abroad by world-class top models such as Natalia Vodianova, Naomi Campbell, Iman, Giselle Bundchen, Leticia Casta, Claudia Schiffer, Elle Macpherson, Karolina Kurkova, Ana Beatriz Barros,  Isabeli Fontana, Lais Ribeiro. Celia Kritharioti presented her first-ever show in Paris during Paris Fashion Week Haute Couture on January 25th, 2017. British Vogue noted: " this couture season marks a first for Celia as she fulfills her lifelong dream of showing on the couture calendar. It was a collection that served to fulfill every couture fantasy." In January 2020, Celia Kritharioti presented SS20 Collection "One" at the British Museum in London.

Since 2012, Celia Kritharioti made a breakthrough to the world’s biggest red carpets: Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Lopez, Lady Gaga, Rita Ora, Katy Perry, Heidi Klum, Kim Kardashian, Camila Cabello, Nicole Scherzinger, Olivia Palermo, Elsa Hosk, Chiara Ferragni, Nadine Leopold, Cindy Bruna, Maria Menounos, Giuliana Rancic, Hailey Bieber and many others who chose Celia Kritharioti for their special red carpet looks.

The first piece is from her Spring/Summer 2018 Haute Couture Collection, I love how this dress shows off a little skin without going overboard, and the boots are absolutely stunning.

I absolutely LOVE the Fall/Winter 2019 Haute Couture Collection, including this piece. It reminds me of something that you'll see in the movie Black Swan.

These three pieces are from the Spring/Summer 2022 Haute Couture Collection, I love that there are some Y2K elements and all of the candy-colored pastels as well.

Please check out Celia Kritharioti's designs for yourself, and as always, I hope that you all have enjoyed this blog post for this Tuesday, I love you all so much, and until next time, Stay Beautiful.
