On My Beauty Wishlist: Tatcha Beauty

Hello again beauty lovers, I so happy to be here with you all again and talk about some of the things in the beauty world that I love and some of the things in the beauty world that are just unnecessary.

There are so many beauty brands that I love just by listening to other beauty bloggers and hearing their reviews about the brands, but this brand that I'm going to tell you guys about is when I was watching QVC and I saw this brand and I was intrigued to find out more about this new brand that was introduced to me. After years of working for large corporations, The founder of Tatcha Victoria Tsai yearned for simplicity and authenticity in her life. Suffering from acute dermatitis (Just like me) and developing a keen awareness of the importance of ingredients on the skin, she began traveling East in search of a more evolved, holistic approach to beauty. On a trip to Kyoto, she discovered a world of pure beauty, craftsmanship, and heritage. An encounter with a modern-day geisha changed her life.

Victoria learned these classical Japanese beauty secrets passed down by generations that took a different approach to skincare - that less is more. This skincare philosophy and time-tested ingredients were captured in an ancient text widely considered to be the oldest beauty book written in Japan, and perhaps the first such work of its kind. Within its three delicate, thread-bound volumes are seven chapters devoted to beauty and elegance in both appearance and spirit. This special guide informs and inspires the Tatcha collection.

Tatcha works with scientists in Japan and the U.S., to create each formula from scratch, advancing time-honored beauty practices for fast-paced, modern life. The foundation is Hadasei-3™, a trinity of anti-aging superfoods born from the Japanese diet, and the basis for the original geisha beauty rituals: green tea, rice, and algae. Every ingredient is carefully selected and minimally manipulated to be gentle and safe with maximum effectiveness.

Another reason why I love this company is that they have a philanthropic model funds girls' education in partnership with Room to Read with every skincare purchase, helping to nurture the beautiful minds of incredible girls in Asia and Africa. In 2017, Tatcha celebrated the funding of one million days of school, which goes far beyond textbooks and classrooms—each day includes life skills coaching, mentorship, and the tools needed to enable a brighter future.

The Luminous Dewy Skin Mist was the first thing that I saw from Tatcha, I've seen many of my favorite beauty influencers use this as a finishing spray to their makeup. Formulated with more than 20 percent botanical oils and humectants that leave skin dewy. A proprietary complex of Okinawa Red Algae and hyaluronic acid delivers highly efficient hydration to the skin, acting as the ultimate moisture magnet. This retails for $48.00.

As many of you know, I have very sensitive skin and I was so happy that Tatcha offered a soothing cream for Sensitive Skin. The Indigo Soothing Cream For Sensitive SkinVelvety-rich cream advanced with an ultra-comfortable, cushiony texture helps relieve the skin, leaving it visibly softer, smoother, and firmer. Natural Japanese Indigo extract calms and soothes skin, now included at a higher concentration for increased efficacy. Colloidal Oatmeal, an FDA-designated skin protectant, helps relieve minor skin irritation and itching caused by eczema and rashes and it has been awarded The National Eczema Association Seal of Acceptance. This cream retails for $85.00.

I really do want to try the Violet-C Vitamin C Radiance Mask, I love the purple color and the benefits will do wonders for my skin, Instantly reveal remarkably softer, smoother skin with this creamy rinse-off treatment mask. The formula features two types of Vitamin C: a water-soluble vitamin C derivative that absorbs quickly for an immediate glow and an oil-soluble vitamin C derivative that remains in skin longer, providing antioxidant protection from UV damage for brighter, more even-toned skin over time. The mask is also powered by the Japanese beautyberry, a superfruit rich in antioxidants that were found to stabilize Vitamin C, maximizing its effectiveness. A gentle 10 percent AHA complex of seven fruits removes debris and the buildup of dead skin cells to visibly improve skin texture and support the production of new skin cells. Tatcha's signature trio of Japanese anti-aging superfoods, green tea, rice, and algae helps to restore a more youthful appearance. This mask retails for $68.00.

The Rice Polish Calming Forming Enzyme Powder is something else that I want to try and it geared for sensitive skin as well. The Rice Polish gives your skin a new beginning through non-abrasive exfoliation and pure Japanese ingredients delivered in a cloud-like foam. Finely ground rice bran promotes natural skin turnover to instantly reveal a smooth, makeup-ready canvas. The pH neutral, amino acid-base formula provides effective cleansing without stripping skin of essential moisture or breaking the skin’s barrier function, leaving skin baby-soft and supple. Hadasei-3™, a trio of anti-aging Japanese superfoods - green tea, rice, and algae - helps restore healthy-looking, youthful radiance. Daily use helps to visibly reduce the appearance of fine lines, uneven skin tone, hyperpigmentation, and breakouts. This retails for $65.00.
