Lola's dream was quite the journey. With no manufacturing connections or contacts, it took me a year and 136 rejections to find my first partner factory. But she was determined. She often joked that she took the long staircase and felt every step along the way, but this journey has built an incredible amount of resilience and passion for my mission. This theme of resilience has been prevalent throughout her life. She truly believes there is nothing we cannot accomplish if they have the determination and optimism to keep getting up and giving it another go.
She studied around the world and earned degrees in Engineering, Mathematics, Strategy, and Finance, but She'll always be most grateful for her "real world" education. As a global citizen, She traveled to over 100 countries, fully immersing herself in various cultures and ways of life. From the streets of New York, Lagos, and Milan, to the shores of Rio de Janeiro, Honolulu, and Okinawa, and the hills of Auckland, San Francisco, and Valparaíso, She diligently studies and soaks up inspiration from my experiences. She sees possibility in everything and everyone and deeply believes that business can be a force for good.
She blends her engineering and global business background with my love for fashion design, inherited from my late mother, to whom the brand is dedicated. She cherishes the opportunity to create uncompromisingly high-quality products that make people look and feel good and use my gift as a vehicle for positive change in the world. The name Silver & Riley honors her late mother, a skilled entrepreneur who ran several businesses including a jewelry business. She often adorned her siblings in beautiful gold pieces, but she always preferred silver, inspiring her special nickname for her.
