Fashion Designer That You Need To Know: Kelsey Randall

Hello, and Happy Tuesday to all of you. I hope that all of you are having a great day and I hope that you will crush all of the goals that you have in front of you this week.

I came to know about Kelsey Randall when I watched The Tamron Hall show when she had up-and-coming fashion designers and she wore her designs in her show. Kelsey Randall was raised in Atlanta, Georgia, and fondly remembers begging her mother to buy her bridal magazines, from which she would study trends, cutting out her favorite images to make collages. After first encountering Alexander McQueen’s work, she completely fell in love with the drama and beauty of his runway shows and designs, knowing from that moment that she wanted to be a fashion designer.

Kelsey attended the prestigious Parsons School of Design (Class of 2009), winning the Parsons Critic’s Choice Award in 2008, and also founded “The Underground Runway” during her time there in order to provide senior students with the chance to showcase their work independent of the school. While interning at Bill Blass, she worked under both Prabal Gurung and Peter Som. Kelsey also worked at French womenswear brand Lilith for nine years, during which she gained extensive experience in wholesale and brand management.

She launched the Kelsey Randall line in the fall of 2015, for which she designs and drapes every piece of the collection, makes all the patterns, sews the muslins, and does the fittings in her Bushwick studio all of which contribute to her strong dedication to ethical fashion. The collection is made in NYC by a team of skilled seamstresses, fabrics are sourced from reputable mills in Europe and Japan, and every piece is cut to order.

The Halcyon Gold Lurex Knit Draped Dress is given Studio 54 vibes or Michelle Pfifer wearing this in the movie Scarface. The dress has a halter style with a gold lock closure, a gold-tone chain neckline, lurex knit fabric with asymmetrical hip drape, and a plunge neck with a high side slit. All of her designs are made to order. This dress is priced at $1,695.00.

If you read the April issue of Cosmopolitan Magazine, You see Latto wearing the Lock Chainmail halter top. It features a silver disc chainmail base, assorted dangling bronze, silver, and gold keys, and a silver chain halter with buckle closure at the neck and back. This priced at $1,295.00

If you are looking for unique, one-of-a-kind pieces, KelseyRandall is your girl. I hope that all of you have enjoyed reading this blog post for this Tuesday. I love you all so much, and until next time, Stay Beautiful.
