Image
Good evening Fashion lovers, Since we are on the last day of August, I'll end it with a blog post about a Black shoe designer that I think you guys will love.  I was watching a young lady named Brittany Christina and she had a video on 10 Black Luxury Fashion Brands that you need to know about (I'll link it at the end of this blog post) and Aminah Abdul-Jillil was on the list, so I decided to check her and the brand out for myself, and I was very impressed. Aminah Abdul-Jillil is a Luxury Shoe Brand launched in August 2012. Aminah's shoes are known for a bold yet feminine design aesthetic that has led to Global Distribution in over 50 countries.  Born in Anchorage, Alaska, she began as a professional dancer in Los Angeles, performing with some of the biggest names in music including Britney Spears and Janet Jackson. In 2019, Aminah was awarded ’Accessory Designer Of The Year’ by Essence Magazine. What makes Aminah Abdul-Jillil's designs unique is her excitement to ...

Feeling Rather Dark And Moody In My Florals.

Image
I missed y'all so much. Hello, my fashion friends and welcome back to my blog. I hope that all of you are doing well and enjoyed your weekend.  I'm getting excited about Fall fashion, as I flip through the fashion magazines that I get in the mail and see all of the gorgeous fashions that have my Fall fashion senses tingling We are not strangers to Florals, in fact, Florals are something that will never go out of fashion. But as we are getting into Fall Fashion, Dark Florals are going to be everywhere. I like to refer to Dark Florals as the rebel sister to the feminine lighter florals that we all love.  I saw the Erdem Pre-Fall 2021 on both the Vogue and Women's Wear Daily websites, and I'm in love with this collection. This collection has a 1930's feel with all of the accessories and the shape of the clothing and the make-up as well.  https://www.vogue.com/fashion-shows/pre-fall-2021/erdem https://wwd.com/runway/pre-fall-2021/london/erdem/review/ If you are the typ...

On My Beauty Wishlist: Lawless The One Talc Free Eyeshadow Palette

Image
Hello, again my darlings, and Happy Friday eve to all of you, You only have one more day until your weekend of fun. I have been a fan of Lawless Beauty for the longest time and everything that this company stands for. I love finding new clean makeup brands that I can tell you guys about and I can try them out myself, Annie Lawless started Lawless Beauty after years of suffering from skin and health issues she assumed she was just born with and would have to manage for the rest of her life. she had awful eczema that was so itchy and painful, she would scratch until she was bleeding. she also had asthma, allergies, and digestive issues that were incredibly frustrating and affected my quality of life. As an adolescent, she was diagnosed with Celiac disease, a condition she had never heard of (she had actually never even heard the word “gluten”), and that changed everything. she became empowered with knowledge and within two weeks of removing gluten from her diet, her eczema, all...

All Hail Sergio Hudson

Hello again to all of my Fashion Lovers, I hope that all of you are doing well and had an amazing weekend. I am so happy that I can be with all of you again and talk about all of the things that really make me so excited about the Fashion Industry.  I've been a fan of Sergio Hudson for a long time, I love how he gets a woman's body and how he makes a woman feels sophisticated, yet sexy. Sergio Hudson is a Luxury Women's ready-to-wear label designed and produced entirely in Los Angeles. Composed of jaw-dropping statement pieces and wardrobe staples, the collections show a masterful use of color and silhouette, making the Hudson woman stand out from the rest. Born in the mid-’80s, Sergio Hudson always had a broad perspective of Rock & Roll fashion, admiring icons such as Gianni Versace and Grace Jones. At a young age, it was evident that he was destined for a career in Fashion. After attending Design School, Hudson’s career shifted into overdrive when he was chosen as a ...

Happy Friday Eve everyone, We have only one more day until we can enjoy our weekend. I can say that I have deserved this weekend, I now understand the say ''You've Been Running Around With It's Head Cut Off.'' While I was reading the August Issue of Instyle and Beauty Editor Kahlana Barfield Brown was talking about Black, Latinx, and APPI owned brands in Target that she loves and I saw the Golde Payaya Bright Superfood Face Mask, so I went on their website and I love all of the benefits of the mask. Before I tell you guys about this mask, I want to tell you more about the owner of Golde, Golde was born in Brooklyn in 2017 in a 1-bedroom apartment. Co-Founder and CEO Trinity Mouzon Wofford teamed up with her partner, Issey, to launch Golde with a single product (the Original Turmeric Latte Blend!) Romeo Hunte Is Killing It Right Now

Image
Hello, my fashion lovers, I hope that all of you are doing well and trying to get through another work week.  Romeo Hunte is definitely becoming one of my favorite Black Fashion Designers, I came to found out about him when I was reading an article about up-and-coming Black designers. Raised in Brooklyn, New York, Romeo Hunte grew up surrounded by women whose creative approach to fashion inspired him from an early age. Hunte attended the Fashion Institute of Technology after turning down two full athletic scholarships in Track and Field. In 2014, Hunte launched his namesake brand Romeo Hunte New York while also working full time as a personal shopper in luxury retail and in editorial styling. Through his experience working in the industry, Hunte strikes the perfect balance between creativity and practicality, which plays a primary role in each collection he designs.  Hunte’s designs quickly became in high celebrity demand after Zendaya wore the brand. Later, Beyoncé brok...

On My Beauty Wishlist: Ten Over Ten

Image
Happy Friday Eve everyone, I hope that all of you are doing well and ready to have a great weekend ahead of you.  While I was reading an old Elle Magazine from 2014, I saw a nail polish brand that I never heard about before, so I went to look up some information about this brand and I was very impressed with what I read about them. The story of Ten Over Ten began when Nadine Abramcyk and Adair Ilyinsky saw a void in New York, in a city packed with nail salons, there was simply nowhere people could relax and enjoy expert services in a clean, beautiful, comfortable social setting. Not much existed between high-priced spas and mom-and-pop corner shops, So Ten Over Ten was born. From the start, with their first beautifully designed location in lower Manhattan, Nadine and Adair focused on the care and well-being of their staff, providing fair pay and benefits and a healthy, non-toxic setting for the entire Ten Over Ten family. They chose to carry and use only products that we...

Don't Touch My Ethical And Sustainable Pajamas

Image
Does anybody else get excited about talking about Fashion on a Tuesday, or maybe it's just me? Hello again to all of my fashion lovers, I hope that all of you are doing well and enjoyed your weekend.  During quarantine, I feel that all of us have worn our pajamas all day, every day because let's be honest we had nowhere to go or no one to impress for that matter. I always believe that wearing beautiful things can boost your mood and your confidence so our sleepwear should be a reflection of that. Another thing that I found myself researching is Ethical and Sustainable lingerie and sleepwear brands that have sleepwear that did not use harmful chemicals because having eczema myself, there are a lot of chemicals that don't sit well with my skin. While I was doing my research, Maylyn And Co popped up, so I went on their website and I love the story of the Founder and CEO. May Deldari said that it all began with skin sensitivity to synthetic materials used in clothes. The feelin...

Happy Thursday or Friday Eve my loves, I hope that you all are ready to enjoy the weekend that you have earned. It's no secret that I love to try, and blog about the products that I have on my wishlist. As a beauty blogger, I feel it's my duty to tell you guys about the new things in Beauty that I read in articles and in some of my favorite magazines.  The following three things that have been newly added to my wishlist is because I was reading the August issue of Vogue Magazine, and they had an advertisement for a few products and I saw this and immediately thought that it would be a great Beauty Blog Post for you lovely people to read over this weekend. The first beauty item that I'm going to talk about is Georgiemane, this company was born in Australia out of the idea that hair care isn’t as complicated as it’s made out to be. that all hair can benefit from ingredients that hydrate, protect, repair, and promote growth. because every strand on your head, whether it’s lon...
