Fashion Designer That I'm Obsessed With: Sukeina

Image
Hello again to all of my favorite fashionable people, I hope that all of you have enjoyed this long weekend with all of your family and friends, and of course wearing a great outfit.  I watched a Fashion show for Sukeina and I've been obsessed with his designs ever since. But more than that, I love the backstory of the designer and the fashion. Sukeina means ‘bright light’ and the clothes that they make evoke the myriad of emotions, experiences, challenges, and triumphs of the human condition. They are committed to innovation in our vision, craftsmanship in our execution, and sustainability in our consumption; taking time to pause and reflect rather than rush and produce. Apparel is their most potent non-verbal cue of who we are. A realm where age, race, gender, orientation, and size are congruent with silhouette, rhythm, fabrication, and the sentiments they elicit and possibilities they offer. They're proud to transcend location: and instead, choose to observe an ever-evolvi...

On My Beauty Wishlist: Chanel Rouge Coco Bloom Hydrating Lipstick

Image
Hello, and Happy Friday Eve to all of you fellow beauty lovers, obsessed, and hoarders alike. I hope that all of you are looking forward to the weekend because you deserve it.  Now, I was reading an issue of Us Weekly and the June issue of Instyle Magazine last week, and I saw that all of these Hollywood starlets wearing this new lipstick from Chanel (My next favorite Fashion designer, next to Dior.) So being the beauty lover that I am, I wanted to see what was the commotion was all about. The innovative new Rouge Coco Bloom formula, featuring an ultra-comfortable texture, works 2 ways: The color glides smoothly onto lips for intense, long-wearing results and also reflects light while creating the appearance of plump lips for a shiny and spectacularly supple finish. This lipstick comes in twenty colors, but of course, I would pick out a red. The patented formula glides on smoothly, so lips feel comfortable and soft while looking vibrant, full, and supple.  All in an inno...

Fashion Designer That I'm Obsessed With: Agnona

Image
Hello again fashion friends, I hope that all of you had a great weekend and a great start to your workweek, I've missed talking to you all so much.  Over the weekend, I was watching a Fashion show for a new fashion brand that I never heard of before named Agnona. I loved the tailoring and the fabrics used in the Spring/Summer 2020 Ready-To-Wear Collection and the suits were just amazing. Agnona was founded in 1952 as a luxury textile mill that grew into a brand that dedicated itself to the legacy of style. Simon Holloway has been at the helm as Artistic Director since 2016, and his vision is of the relaxed, modern woman who is both unapologetically feminine and glamorous.  These pictures are from the Spring/Summer 2020 Ready-To-Wear Collection, the suits remind me so much of the '80s. This dress is absolutely stunning, I love the florals and the draping of the dress as well.  I maybe a little obsessed with the Fall/Winter 2020 Ready-To-Wear Collection. (I mean Fall ...

Happy Thursday Beauty Lovers, I hope that all of you are having a great day and you made it to the weekend, finally.  My mother has influenced me so much when it comes to my beauty philosophies, and when it comes to perfumes, floral scents are my go-to. Floral scents are so feminine and timeless that every girl should have in the perfume collection. My mother received a new perfume from my brother for either Mother's Day or either her birthday from one of our favorite brands, Philosophy. On My Beauty Wishlist: Janet And Jo

Image
My beautiful beauty lovers, I missed you all so much. I hope that all of you had a great day and wore your favorite perfume and spread some positivity because the world that we live in needs it now more than ever.   Now as many of you know, I have a deep love affair with Nail Polish. I think that every little girl (Me Included.) have the memory of their mother polishing their nail with a color that they picked out. For me, I feel more confident when my nails are polished, I feel that it helps me put my best foot forward and a little self-love and self-care never hurt anybody. I was reading a magazine doing a little research for a blog post that I was doing and I saw a new nail polish brand that I have never seen before, so I wanted to see more about them and I love the story of how this brand came about. Kendra Woodridge is the founder of Janet And Jo, named after her two grandmothers in tribute to them. Another thing that I love about this brand is that they're vegan, c...

On My Fashion Wishlist: Almasika

Image
Happy Tuesday to all of my fashion lovers, I'm so glad to be back here with all of you talking about the latest things that I'm loving in the Fashion world at the moment.  While I was reading the Winter issue of Marie Claire Magazine a few days ago, I noticed a very unique necklace by this brand called Almasika. So as the Fashion nerd that I am, I decided to check them out for myself. They were born in London and debuted at the iconic Colette concept store in Paris, and now, they call Chicago home.  ALMASIKA merges an abundance of influences. They embrace global traditions to create sculptural jewelry rooted in the universal symbols and stories spanning generations and cultures. They embarked on a journey following a singular philosophy – to explore what we have in common with others. ALMASIKA soft curves and flowing abstract lines echo the lines of the body for an effortless silhouette. Necklaces undulate delicately, bracelets twine, earrings nestle. They design ti...

Loving The Spring Color That You're Wearing.

Image
Hello fashion lovers, I hope that all of you are having a great day wherever you guys are reading this blog post. Please remember that spreading positivity is the best thing that we all can do right now, I want to come off as possible on each blog post that I post.  Now, as you know I'm a neutral kinda girl. But when Spring and Summer come around, it's something inside of me that just craves color. We all know that Fashion and Color go hand and hand and let's be honest, the runways would be very boring if they would only have black and white. I was reading the March 2021 Spring Fashion Issue and I saw that there were four colors that big on Spring 2021 runways and I couldn't tell you how happy it made me glad to see these colors on the runways and in articles and fashion websites that I frequent a lot.   Mint Green is one of my favorite colors, It just screams Spring to me. I saw a picture of the Prada Spring/Summer Ready-To-Wear Collection and loved it. Bottega Ven...
