I've been a longtime fan of the perfume company Phlur. While browsing the website, I came across the Soft Spot Perfume, and since I adore floral scents, I felt compelled to tell you about both the perfume and this AAPI woman-owned company.

In 2021, Chriselle Lim, Phlur's creative director, joined the company during a period of change for both the company and me. PHLUR sought to strengthen its position in the market after emerging as a pioneer in the clean fragrance industry. She was seeking a new challenge in her career and investigating what it meant to start a new chapter following her divorce. Something clicked when she was given the chance to guide PHLUR, a company she greatly admired, into its next stage. She wanted to spread awareness of the significant and expressive role fragrance could play in her life.

Despite the fact that fashion came before fragrance in her career, she has always associated the two. Fragrance, in her opinion, is an extension of individual style. By choosing a fragrance every day, we can express who we are or want to be, define a mood, and elevate a feeling. Fragrance facilitates communication. It narrates tales. The brand has had an incredible few years. They have produced amazing new fragrances, entered new product categories, and won awards. They have had the privilege of learning from their amazing customer base in the process.

As one of the first clean fragrance companies, Phlur contributed to the development of the "clean" fragrance market and continues to uphold its dedication to sustainability and openness.
