AAPI Fashion Designer That You Need To Know About: Ashlyn.

Salutations, fellow fashion enthusiasts. I hope you had a wonderful weekend and that your workweek is off to a good start.

For a very long time, I have been a huge fan of stylish Ashlyn. I had to tell you lovely people about this incredible fashion designer because I adore her exquisite tailoring and clean lines. You won't be let down. Ashlyn, which was founded in 2020 under the direction of designer Ashlynn Park, has gained recognition for its proficiency in contemporary tailoring, dedication to quality, and design philosophy and studio discipline that respect time, people, and the environment. By emphasizing zero-waste creation, Park, a designer and business owner, challenges an overproduction and overconsumption world by enabling all parties involved in her process to act consciously and responsibly in their development activities.

Ashlyn was chosen to take part in the esteemed Matches Fashion Innovator and Bergdorf Goodman Radar programs in addition to being recognized as an LVMH Prize Finalist in 2022 and the 18th winner of Samsung's SFDF Prize. The Metropolitan Museum of Art invited Ashlyn to participate in the "In America: A Lexicon of Fashion" exhibition in 2021, showcasing Quinn, a gown designed to be light-filled. Several of Ashlyn's designs, including one of the zero-waste pieces, are now part of the museum's permanent collection.

The purpose of the Ashlyn brand is to impart its knowledge, culture, values, and intentions to the following generation. Park is a mentor and collaborator who, by exchanging ideas with artists and makers from various fields, ventures into new creative territory. With every new collection, a multi-layered brand universe is communicated through freedom and trust.

Ashlynn Park has worked at some of the most prominent fashion houses in the world for more than ten years, spanning two continents. Before relocating to Tokyo to pursue her master's degree, Park trained at the best schools in her home city of Seoul. Park received an offer to work as a fashion designer and pattern maker at Yohji Yamamoto after winning Japan's esteemed SO-EN Award in 2008.

Park joined Alexander Wang's creative team shortly after relocating to New York in 2011. Working on the line's runway collection and creating special-event pieces for Beyoncé, Madonna, and Rihanna helped her refine her skills even more. More recently, Park collaborated with Raf Simons while he was the creative director of Calvin Klein 205W39NYC.

Park now contributes her skills and distinct viewpoint to her own label, Ashlyn. She uses Japanese-perfected pattern-making techniques to produce precise minimalist designs, combining them with Western draping techniques to evoke ease and confidence in each silhouette. She takes a deliberate and environmentally conscious approach. While the brand simultaneously strives to reduce waste and environmental damage at every stage of the process, each piece celebrates strong femininity and classic elegance. Above all, Park aims to design timeless wardrobe staples that make people happy and pierce their hearts.

The Spring/Summer 2026 Ready-To-Wear Collection includes these three items. I adore how these items can be worn to any event.

I knew I had to add the Chandra Coat to my fall/winter wardrobe as soon as I saw it. The Chandra Coat is made of Italian cotton sateen and features adjustable draw cords near the hem in a relaxed cocoon shape. Drawcords and vessel-shaped double-entry pockets provide both practicality and aesthetic appeal. The price for this coat is $3,680.

I hope this Tuesday's post was enjoyable for all of my friends and fashion enthusiasts. I sincerely appreciate your wonderful support. Until the next time, Stay Beautiful.
