On My Fashion Wishlist: Esha Soni Orb Bag.

Happy Wednesday, fashion friends! As we count down the days until the weekend, I’m feeling so thankful for this blog and the chance it gives me to connect with like-minded people.

I stumbled upon the handbag brand Esha Soni while scrolling through Instagram, and I just had to share because that’s what good friends do. Esha Soni is recognized for her refined design and innovative leadership at iconic American brands like GHURKA, Michael Kors Collection, Ralph Lauren, Mansur Gavriel, and Proenza Schouler.

Born and raised in Mumbai, India, she later moved to New York to study Design at FIT, with a stint abroad in Florence, Italy. Inspired in part by her work building a foundation that offers primary and vocational education to children in India, she launched her namesake brand. Her collection beautifully reflects her love for design, materials, and craftsmanship. In 2023, Esha Soni became a member of the CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America), and in 2024, she received the US Fashion Trust Accessories Award from Isabel Marant.

Esha Soni offers a series of collections that are organized chronologically and follow a thematic approach. Each one is inspired by a concept, feeling, or mood, featuring objects thoughtfully crafted to be timeless. It’s an ongoing conversation with the world of art and craftsmanship.

The Orb is a petite handbag with a circular base, a curved body, and a rounded top flap. Its elegant silhouette is paired with a brass top handle, and it can be worn effortlessly as a crossbody. The bag is finished with a sculptural, hand-carved brass piece that serves as its closure. This bag is priced at $3,200.00.
