Hispanic Fashion Designer That You Need To Know About: Alvaro Mars.

Fellow fashion lovers, it's been far too long since we've connected. I hope you're all doing well, had a fantastic weekend, and are off to a great start this work week.

I came across an article in W Magazine from October 2024 about Hispanic fashion designers, and one designer really stood out to me—Alvaro Mars. I felt inspired to share a bit about him and his incredible designs.

Alvaro Mars, a Spanish designer and creative director, is the founder of his namesake label. From a young age, he showed a strong sensitivity to plastic arts and aesthetic influences. He pursued a BA Hons in Fashion Design and Fine Arts at the University of Westminster and IED Barcelona. After completing his studies, he won the Global Talents Award in 2019 and began developing his own brand.

Since then, he has showcased the brand at fashion weeks in Russia, Spain, and London, earning various accolades such as the Fashion Directory Award (2020), being named a Selected Designer by the BFC (2021), and winning Best Emerging Brand/Designer at a Spanish Fashion Festival. He completed an MA at Central Saint Martins in 2023/2024 and collaborated with renowned brands like Dr. Martens.
